Minnie Durene Parker Moore, age 92, of Hernando, MS, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Regional Medical Center in Memphis, TN.

Everyone who knew Durene Moore knew that her greatest aspirations in life were: first, to love God; to live by faith in Him ; and to be the very best disciple for Christ she could possibly be. This is and will remain her undying legacy to her family and all her friends.

Durene is survived by her six children; Anne Richardson, Myra Winkler (John), Irene Nichols, CH (COL-R) A.M. “Sonny” Moore, III (Celia), Danny Moore, and Debbie Goodnight (Taylor); sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Marie Flemons. She was preceded in death by her husband, The Late A.M. (Marion) Moore, Jr; her parents, one sister and four brothers.

A memorial service will be held at Wesley Meadows Retirement Community in Hernando, MS at 4:00 on Friday, July 18, 2014. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Sunday Fund, Wesley Meadows Retirement Community, 1325 McIngvale Rd, Hernando, MS 38632. or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
