A Certain Voice

Years ago, I was living in Litchifield, CT with my husband and four children.  There was one lovely ladies' shop named Outdoor Traders and I was there trying on a dress or two.  From the back of the shop came a very distinct, perfectly lovely voice.  Could that be Bumps??  The shopkeeper said it was and brought him to me -- "Querida, what a coincidence!"  He was checking things out for Outdoor Traders' home office!  Bumps came home to tea where he met all my children and loved our very old, 1785 home!  How thrilling it was for my children to meet an Argentine cousin who sounded like he just got off the boat from England!!  They and I will forever remember that lovely day!  Bumps dear -- you will always be loved and thought of dearly.  Our love to Mildred!  Cecily, Peter, Wendy, Alec, Renwick and Andrew McLean
