William "Bill"  D.  Wright
Mr. William D. “Bill” Wright, 71, of Coldwater, MS passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, CA.

He was born on September 22, 1942, in East St. Louis, IL to Lee and Ruth Jones Wright. He was an active member of Solid Rock Assembly of God Church in Senatobia, MS. He was an adult Sunday school teacher for thirty years, a youth coach and very active in his community. A wonderful husband and father, Mr. Wright loved his family and raised them in the Lord. He enjoyed his occupation as a plumber and retired, after years of service with the Memphis City School Board of Education. A man of many interests and talents, he owned a tree planting business, enjoyed playing golf, and was a great story teller. He loved helping people and was a compassionate listener and counselor. His love for music was shared through his beautiful singing voice and as a member of the gospel quartet, “Adorations”.

Mr. Wright is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Helen Johnson Wright of Coldwater, MS; one daughter, Gay Darnell (Jerry) of Hernando, MS; two sons, Skipper Wright (Merrie) of Arlington, TN and Mark Wright (Rebecca) of Twinsburg, OH; two sisters, Patsy Cornelius of Jackson, TN and Barbara Smith of Hot Springs Village, AR; two brothers, Eddie Wright of Texarkana, AR and Johnny Wright of Walnut, MS; and ten grandchildren, Allen, Brady and Carson Darnell and Audrey, Merrie Caroline, Cameron, Conner, Kate, and Emily Wright.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be sent to Solid Rock Assembly of God, Building Fund, 16938 Hwy 4 E., Senatobia, MS 38668. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
