Sandra Carr Taylor, 67, died peacefully on December 4, 2013, with her brother and sister-in-law by her side. She was born on June 14, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee to James Quentin Carr and Wheeler Lipscomb Carr. Sandra was a 1964 graduate of Coahoma County High School in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and a 1965 graduate of the Miller-Hawkins Business College in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1989, she received her CNA certificate from Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, Illinois. Sandra worked her entire career as a medical assistant helping others in need and was an avid dog lover. She is survived by her brother, James Q. Carr, II, his wife Margaret, and their three children, James Whitworth Carr, Caroline Worth Carr, and Wesley Bounds Carr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Como United Methodist Church. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
