Marcus Dean  Williams
Marcus Dean Williams, 92, of Batesville, MS, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at his home. Mr. Williams was a member of First United Methodist Church in Batesville and Veterans of Foreign War (VFW). He was a retired Civil Engineer for Mississippi Department of Transportation and a former instructor at Northwest Mississippi Community College. He served in the United States Army as a pilot in World War II Army Air Corp and was a member of the 99th Bomb Group Historical Society.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Marguerite Braddock Williams of Batesville, MS; two daughters, Rita Howell (Rupert) of Batesville, MS and Betty Gail Kalich (Tim) of Greenwood, MS; one sister, Ruby Ellen Magers of Tupelo, MS and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John William Williams and Cassie Smith Williams and two brothers, John Lee Williams and Claude Chadwick “Chad” Williams. Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 797, Batesville, MS 38606. Dickins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
