Mr. Joseph William Perryman, 77, of Arkabutla, MS passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – DeSoto in Southaven, MS.

He was retired from El Paso Natural Energy after thirty-five years of service and retired from the Mississippi Army National Guard after serving over twelve years. He was an active member of Arkabutla Baptist Church, where he was youth director and youth choir director. An avid golfer and fisherman he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Mr. Perryman is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Betty H. Perryman from Arkabutla, MS; two daughters, Angela Brister (Scottie) of Barr Community, and Kathy Carlisle (Wayne) of Arkabutla, MS; one son Michael Joseph Perryman (Ann) of Houma, LA; one sister, Maudie Mae Gerke (Keith); one stepbrother, Sammy Taylor; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents,Jim Perryman and Bina Lee Taylor; one grandson, Justin Carlisle; his step-father, Frank Taylor; two brothers, Royce Perryman and Jim Perryman, Jr.; and one step-brother, Jack Taylor.
