Mr. John Marshall Welch, 71, of Senatobia, MS, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – DeSoto in Southaven, MS.

He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Kimberly Clark or twenty-nine years and was a truck driver for fifteen years. A devoted family man, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Ray-Nowell Funeral Home in Senatobia, MS. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Senatobia, MS. Burial will be in the LDS Cemetery in Sarah, MS.

Mr. Welch is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Jo Ann Welch of Senatobia, MS; two daughters, Cary Gretchen Hunter (Bob) of Strayhorn, MS and Cassi Shele Hill of Senatobia, MS; two sisters, Virginia Burns of Senatobia, MS and Brenda Cragun of Bountiful, Utah; two brothers, Ted Welch and Barry Welch, both of Senatobia, MS; seven grandchildren, Megan Hunter, Cody Hunter, and Hanna Hunter, Maia Hill, Rebekah Hill, Dylan Hill and Kaden Hill; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, The Late Joe Raymond Welch and Gertrude Berry Welch.
