Dennis Wayne  Massey
Dennis W. Massey, 75, of Senatobia, MS, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi in Oxford.

Mr. Massey was born on September 28, 1939 in Calhoun County, MS to Ophie and Vellie Edwards Massey. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, in which he was an airplane mechanic. Very active in community affairs, he was a successful business man, who served generations of families. A true friend and generous to a fault, he was dedicated to helping those who were less fortunate, by providing them with opportunities to improve their quality of life. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and was affectionately called “Papa” by his grandchildren. He enjoyed nature and the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish.

Mr. Massey is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Peggy Stovall Massey of Senatobia, MS; four sons, David Scott Massey (Molly), Paul Allen Massey, Mark Shannon Massey (Elizabeth) and Cullen Allen Massey, all of Senatobia, MS; one sister, Patricia Weeks; five grandchildren, Zach Massey, Luke Massey, Courtney Massey, Abby Massey, and Shannon Massey; and one great-grandchild, Noah Massey. He was preceded in death by one son, Bryan Whitten; his parents, two sisters, and five brothers.
