Obituary for Walter Tullos Sr.

Walter Anderson Tullos, Sr., passed away on February 5, 2023, at his home in Enid, MS. Mr. Tullos was born in Marks, MS, on November 11, 1945, to Erma Lee Lamb and Walter Berlin Tullos.

He loved watching flowers and vegetables grow, working in the dirt, working in his yard, and caring for his dogs and horses. He was affectionately called “the dog whisperer”. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and loved his family dearly.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving family, which includes two daughters, Nicole Tullos of Memphis, TN and Sandra Ellis of Columbus, MS; two sons, Walter Tullos, Jr., of Memphis, TN and Chris Yarbrough of Bartlett, TN; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-six years, Martha Gail Yarbrough Tullos; three sisters, Mazel Kimbrell, Hazel Perringer, and Patricia Wright; two brothers, Johnny Tullos and Donald Tullos; and his parents, Erma Lee Lamb and Walter Berlin Tullos.

Visitation will be held at Dickins Funeral Home, in Batesville, MS, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be at Dickins Funeral Home on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Memorial Park Cemetery in Batesville, MS.
