Obituary for Virginia Louisa Sanders
Ms. Virginia Louisa Stephens Sanders, 76, of Southaven, MS, formerly of Senatobia, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Landmark of DeSoto. Louisa was born on May 18, 1944 in Memphis, TN to the late Virginia Taylor Stephens and Louis Charles Stephens.
She graduated from North Panola High School in Sardis, MS in 1962 as a part of their inaugural graduating class. She served a lifelong career in banking with First Horizon Bank, formerly People's Bank, in Senatobia, before her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Senatobia. Louisa was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose kind heart and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving family which includes her two daughters, Shelby Sanders Folk (Roger) of Southaven, MS and Carrie Sanders Carpenter (Ryan) of Ganado, TX; four grandchildren, Cal Carpenter, Lizzie Folk, Lana Carpenter, and Mindy Carpenter; her niece, Michou Landon; her former husband of 14 years, Charlie Sanders of Senatobia, MS; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosemary Stephens Landon and her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at First Baptist Church, Senatobia, MS. Visitation will be held in the church on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
