Obituary for Russell Albert Goodwin
Mr. Russell Albert Goodwin, 71, of Pope, MS passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Mr. Goodwin was born on May 19, 1948 in Panola County, MS to The Late Ruth Ann May Goodwin and Robert Goodwin. He retired from United Plastics and was a member of Enid Lake Baptist Church and the Batesville Lions Club. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
Mr. Goodwin leaves behind his loving family which includes his wife of 42 years, Brenda Goodwin of Pope, MS; three daughters, Lisa Sumrall (James) of Vancleave, MS, Janet Moses of Pope, MS, and Pamela Goodwin of Charleston, MS; one brother, Bill Goodwin of Longtown, MS; and eight grandchildren, Ben Sumrall, Drew Sumrall, Joshua Sumrall, Allison Moses, Jacob Moses, Cameron Goodwin, Cheyenne Morgan, and Chloe Morgan. He was preceded in death by his siblings and his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at 11 am in the chapel of Dickins Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Tankersley officiating. Interment will follow in Batesville Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, from 6 pm - 8 pm.
