Obituary for Roger Z Comer
Roger Z. Comer, 68, passed away on April 15, 2020, at his home in Sardis, MS.
He was born on June 3, 1951 in Talladega, AL to Bena Chandler and Willie T. Comer. Roger was a professed Christian and enjoyed watching Hebron Baptist Church online services. He was a quick learner and a “jack-of-all-trades”. He always had joke and a smile for everyone and a great laugh. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting and especially spending time with his dogs, Sealy and Major. Roger was a loving and devoted family man and will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Pamella S. Comer of Sardis; one daughter, Angie Miller (Stan) of Montgomery, AL; one son, Roger Desi Comer of Sardis; two sisters, Bonnie Jean Rogers of Ft. Worth. TX and Kathy Everingham (Mark); sister-in-law, Malinda Comer of Sulligent, AL; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles “Bud” Comer and Jerry Comer.
A private graveside service will be held at Union Baptist Church Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Amerian Cancer Society, Hebron Baptist Church, or any charity of the donor’s choice.
Due to social distancing restrictions, we must limit guest at the graveside to no more than 8 individuals.
