Obituary for Robert Allen Rhodes
Robert Allen Rhodes, 80, of Senatobia, MS passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. Frances Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Mr. Rhodes was born in Hickory Flat, MS on January 3, 1941, to Grace Lee Parrish and John Elton “J.E.” Rhodes. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Senatobia and was retired from a career in marine and agriculture sales. Mr. Rhodes enjoyed raising and riding horses and loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a kind, caring and generous man who loved to help anyone in need and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family, which includes his wife of fifty-two years, Carolyn Rhodes, of Senatobia; one daughter, Lisa Rhodes Miller (Doug) of Olive Branch; one son, Rob Rhodes (Jennifer) of Senatobia; one sister, Frances McLain of Senatobia; one brother, David Rhodes (Cheryl) of Senatobia;; four grandchildren, Morgan Miller, Matthew Miller, Hailey Rhodes and Jack Rhodes and numerous nieces and nephews.. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Rhodes.
A graveside service will be held at Senatobia Memorial Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2021, with burial following. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be sent to Flat Rock Baptist Church, PO Box 385, Blue Mountain, MS 38610 or to The ALS Association at ALS.org. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
