Obituary for Peggy Sue Brooks (Miller)
Peggy Sue Miller Brooks, 84, of Greenwood, MS, passed away on Sunday, October 1. 2023. at Baptist Memorial Hospital – DeSoto, in Southaven, MS. Peggy was born in Sidon, MS on June 15, 1939, to Ruby Grace Lott Miller and Dave Miller.
She was a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church, in Greenwood, MS. Peggy enjoyed spending time outdoors. She had a “green thumb” and loved flowers and gardening. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and she treasured all the holidays spent with family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving family, which includes her husband, Kelly Brooks of Greenwood, MS; one daughter, Rachelle Storey (Richard) of Senatobia; one step-daughter, Missy Morgan (Terry) of Madison, MS; one step-son, Joey Brooks, of Greenwood, MS; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn Goldman and Betty Browning, of Greenwood, MS; two brothers, Tommy Miller of Greenwood, MS and Donald Miller of Sidon, MS. She was preceded in death by, her parents and one brother, Willie Miller.
A viewing will be held at Ray-Nowell Funeral Home – Senatobia Chapel, on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Senatobia Memorial Cemetery, at 2:30 p.m., immediately following the visitation. Interment will follow at Senatobia Memorial Cemetery.
