Obituary for Paul Clinton Cox Sr.

Paul Clinton Cox, Sr. 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at his home in Lambert, MS. He was born on February 22, 1932 to Dora Azlin and Dewitt Clinton Cox.

Mr. Cox was a lifetime member of Blue Lake Baptist Church and a Veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. A generous and caring person and was the best friend you could ever have.

Mr. Cox is survived by one daughter, Linda Craig of Pontotoc; three sons, Jackie Cox (Shirley) and Paul Cox, Jr., all of Batesville and Scotty Cox (Michelle) of Crowder; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Evelyn Cox and his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. at Dickins Funeral Home on Monday, February 24, 2020. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Dickins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
