Obituary for Patricia Agnes Skeen (Kellett)

Mrs. Patricia Kellett Skeen, 81, of Coldwater, MS, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at The Pinnacle of Southaven, in Southaven, MS.

Mrs. Skeen was born on May 30, 1942, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to The Late Ruth Muriel Gallagher Kellett and Arthur Harding Kellett. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coldwater, MS, where she taught Sunday School and enjoyed singing in the choir and working in the church food pantry. Her heart’s desire was to spread the gospel and visit shut ins. Mrs. Skeen enjoyed needlepoint and admiring the beauty of all flowers. She loved her family dearly and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving family which includes two daughters, Marilyn Beatty (James) of Coldwater and Tracey Kelly (Chip) of Olive Branch, MS; seven grandchildren, Hannah Magana, Samuel Beatty (Claire), Bryce Kelly, Rachel Kelly (Michelle), Emily Gargis (Samuel), Micah Beatty (Ashley), and Collin Beatty and five great-grandchildren, Charlee, Madeline, Brooks, Landon, and Owen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Lamar Skeen, her parents and one sister, Lois Muriel Kellett.

Interment services will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at West Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125. Mrs. Skeen will be laid to rest by her husband.
