Obituary for Marilyn Kay Hill (Dye)

Marilyn Kay (Dye) Hill, 76, of Senatobia, MS, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, in Oxford, MS, with her loving husband at her side. Marilyn was born on May 1, 1945, to Helen (Messerschmidt) Dye and John Francis Dye in Wichita, KS.

She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Wichita and was a Registered Nurse retiring from a career in ER and Clinical nursing. Marilyn met Larry Hill in Wichita and they were married for 51 years. They loved traveling, taking cruises, fishing, and RVing. She loved her family dearly and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Marilyn entered the hospital on April 28th and spent her 76th birthday in ICU. She faced the complications of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) with all her strength and determination.
Left to cherish her memories is her loving family, which includes her husband, Larry; her son, John David (Brenda); daughter, Heather; and the light of her life, granddaughter, Larsen Hill; as well as her brothers, Pat (Ellie) and J.D. Dye. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and John Dye and her brother, Kevin.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Leukemia (CLL) Research or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
