Obituary for Marilyn Marie Crockett (Dean)
Mrs. Marilyn Marie Dean Crockett, 67, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at her home in Senatobia, MS.
Marilyn was born on April 11, 1953 in Senatobia to the late Katherine Moore Dean and Jesse D. Dean. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed shopping, antiquing, and going to auctions. She found pleasure in learning her family history through her genealogy work. Marilyn loved animals, especially cats, but nothing brought her more joy than her family. She will be remembered as a "great mom," who always put her family above all else. She was a member of the Senatobia Church of Christ and will be missed by all who knew and loved her kind heart and gentle disposition.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Mackenzie Dean of Memphis, TN and Andy Crockett of Senatobia, MS; and her brother, Calvin Dean (Debbie) of Olive Branch, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Crockett and her parents.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 10 am in Tyro Cemetery near Senatobia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Marilyn's memory to the Senatobia - Tate County Animal Shelter, 909 E. F. Hale, Jr. Drive, Senatobia, MS 38668.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ray-Nowell Funeral Home.
