Obituary for Lynda Harris (Ward)

Mrs. Lynda Ward Harris, 75, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at her home in Sardis, MS, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Harris was born, on December 25, 1945, in Como, MS, to Clarice Craft and Hubert Joe Ward. She was a member of Sardis Church of Christ, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a caring and giving friend.

She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed other hobbies such as playing Yahtzee, watching Wheel of Fortune, Days of our Lives and listening to classic country music. She loved canning, making jellies, 14-day pickles and especially lasagna, which was her specialty. She also loved the outdoors and being in her flower garden.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her loving family, which includes two sons, Wayne Harris (Sissy) of Sardis, MS and Jeff Harris (Renee) of Duncan, MS; five sisters, Marjorie Hutchison (Royce) of Como, MS, Elizabeth Graham (Dale) of Titusville, FL, Bobbie Lockhart and Edna Still of Como, MS, and Charlotte Jackson (Tommy) of Pleasant Grove, MS; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Harris, one brother, Hubert Lamar Ward, and her parents.

A graveside service will be held at Friendship Cemetery in Como, on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 11 a.m.
