Obituary for Linda McCraw (Austein)
Linda Austein McCraw, 71, of Como, MS, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital in Germantown, TN.
Linda was born in Memphis TN, on July 4, 1949, to Reba Copous Austein and Herbert Austein. She was Christian lady and a devoted Baptist. She was a bookkeeper for Austein Mechanical Contractors in Memphis. Linda loved to Bop, enjoyed listening to 60’s music, watching Hallmark movies and loved traveling and taking cruises. She loved her family dearly and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Left to cherish her memories is her loving family, which includes her husband of twenty-three years, Sam McCraw and one daughter, Laurie Haynes and husband, David, all of Como, MS; two step-sons, Sammy McCraw and wife Toya, of Bartlett, TN and Steve McCraw, of Munford, TN; one sister, Pam White and husband, Lynn and one brother, Phillip Austein, all of Senatobia, MS; five grandchildren, Price Haynes, Carson Haynes, Stephanie Washburn, Stephen McCraw, and Dillon McCraw; three great-grandchildren, Riley Kate Washburn, Aubrey Washburn, and Eli McCraw and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reba and Herbert Austein.
Visitation will be held at Fredonia Church in Como, MS on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Fredonia Church, with burial following in Fredonia Cemetery. The family has requested memorial contributions may be given to Linda’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
