Obituary for John Thomas Moore
Mr. John Thomas Moore, 80, of Coldwater, MS passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at his home.
Mr. Moore was born on March 28, 1940 in Arkabutla, MS to the late Maude Tate Moore and Joe S. Moore. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly, and his dog, "Snoopy." Mr. Moore was a member of Evansville Baptist Church.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving family which includes his daughter, Kathy Oaks (Donnie); two sons, Johnny Moore (Donna) and Perry Moore (Tammy), all of Arkabutla, MS; four sisters, Robbie Lusk of Senatobia, MS, Faye Scoggins of Sarah, MS, Janice Grady of Horn Lake, MS, and Murry Dickerson of Collierville, TN; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Nancy E. Moore; two brothers, Joe Calvin Moore and James Maurice Moore; one sister, Polly Powell; and his parents.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at 2pm in Surrettes Cemetery in Arkabutla with Bro. Albert Wilkerson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org.
