Obituary for Jimmy Doyle Drinkard
Mr. Jimmy Doyle Drinkard, 73, of Senatobia, MS passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Jimmy was born on October 13, 1946 in Selmer, TN to the late Annie Williams Drinkard and Carl Lofton Drinkard. He loved his family dearly and extended his love to his co-workers who he regarded as his brothers. Mr. Drinkard enjoyed bowling and always looked forward to camping and boating with his family. He had a kind soul and big heart, who always gave of himself to others. Mr. Drinkard proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years, Barbara Moore Drinkard of Senatobia, MS; two sons, Steven Doyle Drinkard (Jennifer) of Senatobia, MS and Brad Alan Drinkard (Amanda) of Coldwater, MS; his sister, Pat Ann Rarick (Les) of Oakland, TN; seven grandchildren, Shelby, Kelsey, Allison, Ashley, Christian, Anna, and Austin; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Jackie Smith and Janie Coleman; his brother, Ricky Drinkard; and his parents.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 10 am in Magnolia Cemetery in Coldwater, MS with Rev. Adolf King officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ray-Nowell Funeral Home.
