Obituary for Jerry Lee Darby
Jerry Lee Darby, 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at University Medical Center in Grenada, MS. He was born on February 25, 1949 to Fairy Mae Ware Darby and Henry Clay Darby.
Jerry loved nature and being outdoors. He enjoyed gardening, all kinds of yard work, especially cutting the grass. He also loved to eat fish and deer meat.
Left to cherish his memory is his family, which includes three sisters, Fay Rene Floyd of Tupelo, MS, Brenda Joyce Kendall and Mary Frances Kendall (John), all of Cascilla, MS; three brothers, Roger Dale Darby (Wilma) of Tupelo, MS, Terry Lynn Darby (Dinkey) of Grenada, MS and Ricky Gene Darby (Debra) of Tupelo, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Henry Clay Darby, Jr., Charles Ray Darby, Richard Alllen Darby, and one sister, Patsy Darby. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 at New Bethel Cemetery in Enid, MS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Dickins Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
