Mr. James Edward Hadorn, Sr., 92, of Batesville, MS passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.
Mr. Hadorn was born on July 22, 1927 in Memphis, TN to the late Abbie Long Hadorn and Edward Hadorn. A retired agricultural mechanic, he was a member of Cold Springs Methodist Church for nearly 60 years. Mr. Hadorn loved his John Deere tractors and enjoyed gardening and farming. He was a genuine person who always devoted himself to his family, and he will be deeply missed.
He leaves behind his loving family which includes his sons, Jimmy Hadorn (Betty) and Bobby Hadorn; three sisters, Gloria Davis, Emma Hadorn, and Grace Whitley, all of Batesville, MS; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Elsie Geeslin Hadorn; one son, Frank Hadorn; five brothers; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019, at 2 pm in Cold Springs Methodist Church with Bro. Gary Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the church on Monday from 12 pm - 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cold Springs Methodist Church.
