Obituary for Harold Gene Poole
Harold Gene Poole, 83, of Joelton, TN, formally of Senatobia, MS, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Signature Healthcare Center of Putnam County in Cookeville, TN.
Mr. Poole was born in Harriman, TN on August 23, 1936, to Georgia Russell and Frank Poole. He was a Veteran of the United States Army Reserve and a retired custodian for Bally’s Casino in Tunica, MS. He enjoyed building wooden ships, loved fishing and rocking on his front porch. Mr. Poole will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Left to cherish his memory is his family, which includes two daughters, Jeanee Poole Millican (John) of Alaska and Rebecca Poole Heath of Eudora, MS; three sons, Harold Gordon Poole of Clarksdale, MS, Paul Poole (Debora) of Joelton, TN, Dan Poole of Senatobia, MS; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dora Poole; one granddaughter, Amanda Dawn Poole Padilla; his parents; two sisters and three brothers. A private burial will be in Senatobia Memorial Cemetery.
