Obituary for Fannie Mae Sanders (Brewer)
Fannie Mae Brewer Sanders, 79, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at her home in Batesville, MS.
She was born on May 15, 1940, in Batesville, MS to Annie Bell Glover and Earl Brewer. Mrs. Sanders was a loving wife and mother that loved to cook and sew. Mostly, she loved meeting people and never met a stranger.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Amy Williford (Jimmy) of Batesville; four sisters, Jimmie Thompson, of Batesville, Marie Lantrip of Horn Lake, Myrtle Watson of Oxford and Margie Havens of Enid; one brother, Jerry Brewer of Kansas; special niece, Kim Sanders (Tracy); special great-nieces, Brittany Boyles and Tracee Sanders; other numerous nieces and nephews and her grand-dog, Cub Williford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey “Buddy” Sanders; her parents, six siblings, Leland Brewer, Martha Vardaman, Jane Matthews, Ann Boyles, Doris Gene Brewer and Thomas Brewer.
A private graveside service will be held at Forrest Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 11 a.m. A memorial gathering will be held in Mrs. Sanders Home from 1-7 p.m., at 243 Pollard Street, Batesville, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made toward final expenses. Dickins Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
