Obituary for Earl Lamar McGehee
Earl Lamar McGehee, 82, of Horn Lake, MS, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at the Mississippi Veterans Home in Oxford, MS.
Earl was one of eleven children born, in Panola County, MS, on April 29, 1940, to Floy Sunshine Peterson and Emmette H. McGehee. He joined the United States Air Force while still in high school and continued his military career until his retirement at the rank of MSGT E-7. Earl was also a retiree of the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed golf, bar-b-que, and spending time with friends at his local VFW.
Earl is survived by two sons, Dale McGehee and Mitchell McGehee (Mary Beth) all of Senatobia, MS; two grandchildren, Matthew McGehee and Mia Grace McGehee of Senatobia; one brother Winford McGehee of Corinth, MS; and a sister, Shirley Stewart of Vardaman, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.
A graveside service will be held at at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Peach Creek Cemetery, , located at 3107 Parks Place Rd., Como, MS 38619.
