Obituary for Bettye R. Jones
Mrs. Bettye R. Jones, 75, of Como, MS passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven, MS.
Mrs. Jones was an accountant who retired from Hi-Light USA, Inc. in Memphis, TN. She attended Fredonia Methodist Church in Como, MS and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to her family, especially her grandchildren as she was a large part of their lives. She loved her dog, Windsor, and always had a soft spot for animals.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving family which includes her daughter, Patti Jones Mashbitz (Kenny) of Southaven, MS; her son, Jerry Jones of Senatobia, MS; three grandchildren, Jonathan Mashbitz and Kevin Mashbitz, both of Southaven, MS and Hannah Jones of Senatobia, MS; and a family friend, Kathy Hebbeler of Sardis, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Richard L. Jones and her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at 2 pm in the Sardis Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 pm - 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Panola County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1756, Batesville, MS 38606.
