Obituary for Annette Elizabeth Crowell (Jones)
Annette Elizabeth Crowell, 80, passed away, after a brief illness, on Saturday, January 8, 2023, at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis, TN.
She was born in Memphis, TN, on February 25, 1942, to Camille Reinhold Jones and Robert Dudley Jones. Mrs. Crowell graduated from Central High School in Memphis, TN and attended The University of Memphis. She loved going to church with her husband, as well as tending to the garden and bird watching. Recently, she was a resident of Brookdale Assisted Living, where everyone loved her because of the keen interest in each resident. She enjoyed Bingo, “catfish Friday”, tending to her garden, watching her favorite shows, going to the salon, and the special events and activities.
Mrs. Crowell is survived by her two sons, Jeff Smith (Carolyn) of Como, MS, Paul Smith of Pope, MS and Janet Rast Haines (Jack) of Germantown, TN; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Rast, Llana Williams, Cassandra Overholt and Michael Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-five years, William Boyce Crowell, Sr. and her parents.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 10-11 a.m., at Sardis Lake Baptist Church. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 11 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Sardis Lake Baptist Church Cemetery.
