Alice Marie Joiner Mehan, 90, died at Tallahatchie Extended Care Facility in Charleston, MS on January 8, 2020.
Mrs. Mehan was born on August 20, 1929 to the late Loyd and Evelyn Joiner. She was a member of Chapel Hill Methodist Church, a homemaker, retired factory worker and childcare giver. She loved quilting, sewing, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving family, which includes one daughter Sandra Pitcock (Harry Lee) of Batesville, one son, Jerry Mehan (Angela) of Pope; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Mehan of Batesville; four grandchildren, Jay Pitcock (Margaret ) of Madison, David Pitcock of Pearl, Jessica Mehan of Atlanta, GA and Whitney Aldridge (Wade) of Batesville; four great-grandchildren, Georgia and Emery Pitcock and Chance and Eva Wade Aldridge; two brothers, James Earl Joiner (Sandra) of Bossier City, LA and Bill Joiner (Linda) of Batesville; and one sister Shirley Alexander (Hank) of Collierville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Mehan; two sons, Wayne Mehan and Donnie Mehan; her parents; two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Dickins Funeral Home in Batesville. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope, MS. Memorial contributions may be sent to Chapel Hill Cemetery Fund. Dickins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
