Obituary for Albert Linwood Maples, Sr.

Albert Linwood Maples, Sr., 66, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at his home in Senatobia, MS.

He was born April 18, 1948 in Como, MS to Gilbert Maples and Alma Perkins Maples. He was a lifetime member of Church of Christ. He served as a former firefighter and police officer for the Town of Como, was retired from over twenty years of service in the Mississippi Army National Guard and later retired as Director of Public Works for the City of Senatobia. He was a very kind and caring person who was devoted to his family, friends and community.

Mr. Maples is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Carrie Reeder Maples of Senatobia, MS; two daughters, Amber Moore (Randall) and Melanie Edwards (John) all of Senatobia, MS; four sons, Albert Linwood Maples, Jr. of Cascilla, MS; Paul Buford of Senatobia, MS; Justin Gilbert Maples (LaBreska) of Courtland, MS; and Jay Buford (Michele) of Senatobia, MS; twenty-two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
