Mr. Otis Harold Hawkins, 82, of Batesville, MS passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

Mr. Hawkins was born on October 11, 1936 to The Late Annie Dell Morrow Hawkins and Otis Roy Hawkins. He was a member of Independence Presbyterian Church and was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, coon hunting and loved beautiful gardens. As a talented carpenter, he enjoyed building furniture. He was a hardworking man who was dedicated to his family above all else. His grandchildren were his heart and will be remembered as a fun loving person who liked to cut-up. He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Mr. Hawkins leaves behind his loving family which includes his wife, Mavis Williams Hawkins of Batesville; two daughters, Ossie Hawkins Morris (Kelly) of Batesville and Shelda Hawkins Pittman (Todd) of Courtland; one son, Otis Shelton Hawkins (Susan) of Batesville; two sisters, Ann Shankle of Batesville and Elsie Everett of Courtland; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at 2pm in the chapel of Dickins Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday from 12pm until service time at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Cemetery Fund or to Independence Presbyterian Church.
